Welcome!
Mississippi River Health Alliance
Two Hospital Corporations. One Goal. The very best care close to home.
In April 2016, the Almonte General Hospital Corporation (AGH) and the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Corporation (CPDMH) created the Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA), building on a history of collaboration. The two hospitals, along with Fairview Manor and the Lanark County Paramedic Service have formed stronger ties with a single goal: better care.
The MRHA has a community newsletter – to keep you informed about news at Almonte General Hospital, Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital, Fairview Manor and Lanark County Paramedic Service. We are working together to ensure the very best care close to home. We welcome your input.
If you have any questions or ideas, I invite you to email me mrha.boardchair@mrha.ca to provide your feedback. We value your input.

Message from Brad Harrington, President & Chief Executive Officer
On behalf of our dedicated team of physicians, midwives, staff, and volunteers, I would like to extend a heartfelt welcome to the Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) website. Providing you with the very best care close to home is our top priority.
At AGH and CPDMH we are proud to be Accredited with Commendation under the rigorous national quality and safety standards of excellence established by Accreditation Canada. It is the needs of our patients and residents who drive the MRHA forward, so we thank you for being an important partner in your care.
I encourage you to review the Bill of Patient/Resident Rights and Responsibilities, and the Patient/Resident Handbook. There is valuable information contained there to support your care. Please feel welcome to discuss any aspect of these resources, or your care and experience, with your healthcare team. Your needs are important.
We appreciate any feedback you have to offer through satisfaction surveys, or through direct communication with our team. Your input can provide valuable information about how we are making a difference for you, and how we can improve. As a patient or resident and a community member, you are uniquely aware of what you need from the MRHA. By taking the time to provide this feedback, you are helping to shape the future of local healthcare.
The MRHA Patient and Family Advisory Committee (PFAC) and the Fairview Manor Resident and Family Councils offer other opportunities to help shape the care that is delivered by the MRHA. The committee members provide input and feedback on all areas of care. We have seen improvements in care delivery as a direct result of their thoughtful input. To learn more about PFAC and the Councils please visit /pfac
If there is anything you would like to bring to my attention, please contact me by phone at 613-256-2514 ext. 2220, by email at agh.info@mrha.ca, cpdmh.info@mrha.ca or by mail at either hospital’s address.
With best wishes,
