Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital's New Emergency Department Now Open to Patients

Carleton Place, ON The Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) is pleased to announce that the new Emergency Department (ED) at Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH) is officially open and accepting patients as of today, January 29th, 2025.

Patients in need of emergency care should now access the new Emergency Department via the Neelin Street entrance, rather than the hospital’s main entrance on Lake Avenue.

📍 New Emergency Department Location:

Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital – Emergency Department

211 Lake Ave. E, Carleton Place, ON K7C 1J4 - Access via Neelin Street Entrance

Parking is available for Emergency Department patients on Neelin Street.

Important Information for Patients & Visitors:

· The new Emergency Department is now open and operational.

· All emergency patients must enter via the Neelin Street entrance.

· The previous Emergency Department entrance is now the hospital’s main entrance and should no longer be used for ER visits.

· Dedicated parking for ED patients is available on Neelin Street.

The newly constructed Emergency Department is designed to enhance patient care with expanded treatment spaces, improved patient privacy, and state-of-the-art medical technology. The modernized layout allows CPDMH’s skilled medical team to deliver more efficient, high-quality emergency care in a setting that meets the growing needs of the community.

CPDMH remains committed to providing safe, efficient, and accessible emergency medical care. To help ensure a smooth transition, patients and visitors are reminded to use the Neelin Street entrance and parking when arriving at the new ED.
